Sculptural Road Barriers
for Safe and Sustainable Public Spaces
Vehicle-based attacks remain a significant concern due to their simplicity and unpredictability. From 1970 to 2019, there were 257 such attacks worldwide, with over 70% occurring in the last six years. Current solutions at public events often rely on metal segment barriers or military-style road barriers, which provide limited protection and can appear harsh or intimidating. For some attendees, especially those with prior experience or heightened sensitivity, these barriers may evoke unpleasant associations.

The Re-Ti road barriers offer an innovative solution. Designed as sculptural, modular elements, they harmonize with urban architecture while providing functional safety. Each barrier is made from recycled tires, combining durability, impact absorption, and environmental sustainability. Modular construction allows damaged segments to be easily replaced, maintaining a continuous circular lifecycle.
